2017 SUMMER READING PROGRAM

The 2017 Summer Reading Program is for children ages 6-11 (or students entering grades K-6).  Please patronize our sponsors by clicking here. Registration is open until June 23.

  • Programs begin June 5. Grand Finale Party June 30.
  • Each of our five branches hosts a weekly activity.
  • Register at your local branch.

Keep track of books you read by filling in your reading log kept at your local branch.

For kids ages 6-8, or those reading picture books:

  • Log each book you read
  • Read 16 books by June 30 for a prize
  • For every 10 books you read, you earn a grand prize entry ticket

For kids ages 9-11, or those reading chapter books:

  • Log the number of hours and minutes you read (30 minute increments please)
  • Read for 8 hours by June 30 for a prize
  • For every 2 hours you read, you earn a grand prize entry ticket

 

 GRAND PRIZES:

A KINDLE FIRE  -  A BIKE  -  MAYOR FOR A DAY

All Grand Prizes will be drawn at the Finale Party

Friday, June 30 at 5:30 p.m. at the Bay St. Louis-Hancock County Library.

(Must be present to win a grand prize)

Community Mural
Sign up at your local branch to create a piece of art representing a place in your community. Turn in your art by June 16 to be included in a mural at your library branch. Get the full details here.

Build a Better World Art Contest
