Hancock County Library System

Welcome to the Hancock County Library System! Whether you read for information or for entertainment, we have the right materials for you. We invite you to stop in at any of our four convenient branches when you are out and about in Hancock County. Our large selection of books, DVDs, CD books, videos and audiobooks will allow you to choose just the right materials for you and your family. Our library programming offers something for everyone, from our popular Authors and Characters @ Your Library series to toddler storytimes and the Summer Reading Program.

Mission

Our mission as a library system is to provide the people of Hancock County and its communities with the right information, in the right form, at the right time. Our library staff puts a high priority on excellent customer services that are accessible, available and affordable to everyone in Hancock County. We offer free reference help by phone, by email and in person as well as Interlibrary Loan service to enable you to find just the right the information you need.

Funding

The Hancock County Library System is funded by the Hancock County Board of Supervisors, and the Cities of Bay St. Louis and Waveland. It is governed by a five member Board of Trustees and administered by an Executive Director and a staff of librarians and library assistants.
